we got some serious sunshine today!!!

which obviously makes me feel super happy because the weather has been super crummy here lately, so cold, windy and dark. Blah. It was supposed to be like that all weekend too, so today was a serious gift. It looks like it's getting blah again but we had a few hours of glorious sunshiny autumn weather. It's so nice to feel the sun on your skin this time of year.

So, I get to share my first layout with this month's ScrapMuse Kit, Flight School. It is a seriously gorgeous kit. Totally not colours that I would have picked myself, but I think they're just gorgeous. I LOVE the colours.

SO here it is, aptly titled, "OMG those darn Boogies":

You can see in this layout, that I used the canvas scalloped circle from the kit. SO much fun. I sanded it up a bit and then I painted it. I added some stitching and also some stickles to make a custom journaling spot to match my layout perfectly.

I also took one of the Scribble Scrabble papers and cut out the flowers that are above the photo. I cut out 3 layers per flower and used pop dots to give them dimension.

Unfortunately the kit is already sold out again this month. BUT…Missy keeps a waiting list that you can put your name on in case there are any skips.

I also got another layout done using September's kit, Called Strawberry Break:

I cut the strawberries and leaves with an svg cut that I created and cut them with my Cricut (using SCAL,they will be available in my etsy shop later).

I added glossy accents to all the strawberries and the letters. I painted the ribbon and the letters and the edge of the paper with red acrylic paint.

Tomorrow we are going apple picking which means we will be having some yummy desserts coming up in the next while. I can already smell apple crumble.
